A Tampa Bay Buccaneer assists in free dog training for dogs adopted by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Logan Ryan, a safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his wife Ashley founded the Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation. The Ryans Foundation sponsors free virtual dog sponsorships through GoodPup for dogs adopted by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
The program runs from July 26 to August 26. Dogs adopted through the Humane Society of Tampa Bay will receive scholarships for free dog training through GoodPup.
The dates coincide with Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp. July 26 is the first day of Logan Ryan’s first training camp with Tampa Bay. Ryan signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March. He previously played for the New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and New York Giants.
In a statement, Logan Ryan said: “This is one way for us to make a difference for a few hundred dogs here in Florida and give them a second chance at success while helping their new families better understand their new dog. .”
RARF was founded in 2017 and has since grown to the point of contributing over $250,000 to animal rescue services.
