Pangbourne dog training company Happipup wins Prestige award

A Pangbourne dog training business has been named Puppy Training Service of the Year in London and the South East by a trade awards organisation.

Happipup, led by Sandra Emmons, has been recognized for its exceptional customer service, innovative training programs, positive reviews, and work with the local community.

Happipup was championed by the Prestige Awards, an organization that rewards small, independent businesses that are successful and work hard locally.

Miss Emmons said: ‘I am delighted to have this recognition, particularly as a new company. It was wonderful to be nominated by one of my clients.

“The judges said I was chosen because of my creative puppy training programs that help them grow into sociable, confident and happy puppies.

“One thing that stands out is that the training supports other local businesses, with the pups and their parents exploring what Pangbourne and other local villages have to offer.”

Miss Emmons started the business in 2018 and dog training became her full-time profession last September when she decided to step down from her role as Ward Manager.

She runs a range of classes for student pooches, including Growing Your Superstar Dog, pet sleuths and confidence-building workshops. It also offers individual training.

She said: “The past two years have seen so many families welcome a puppy into their lives, and I’m passionate about supporting them as best I can so they can enjoy life together.”
