One-day virtual program to boost bilateral trade between India and Poland on August 20 – India Education | Latest Education News | Global education news

Mumbai: In an effort to boost bilateral trade between India and Poland, a one-day Global Market Access Program (GMAP) will be held virtually on Friday August 20, 2021 under the auspices of MVIRDC World Trade Center Mumbai .

The six-hour program titled “Poland: Gateway to the Central and Eastern European Region” is set against the backdrop of over 6% growth in Indian exports to Poland in 2020-21 during the pandemic period.

Poland is the seventh largest destination for Indian goods in the 27-member European Union bloc, with India exporting US $ 1.6 billion worth of goods over the period 2020-21 (April-March) while importing 700 million USD of goods from the Central European nation.

The program will be led by Mr. Damian Irzyk, Consul General, Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai and Mr. Siddhartha Rastogi, Behavioral Finance and Capital Markets Expert.

The two experts will provide an overview of the business climate in the two countries and talk individually about strengths and potential sectors of collaboration such as agribusiness and agribusiness, information technology, textiles, mining and l energy, pharmacy and chemistry, as well as culture and educational exchanges.

Experts will also share emerging opportunities to forge a fruitful collaboration, giving rise to new perspectives in India while GMAP participants will learn to identify key trends and forces shaping various industries.
