Barnegat Police said they responded to the homes of the Pheasant Run, Horizons and Heritage Point North developments early Saturday morning after 5 motor vehicles were stolen – a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, a 2017 Honda Civic, a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, a Honda CRV 2018 and 2015 Audi A4.

On Tuesday morning, police said all vehicles had been recovered except the Audi A4.

When each of these vehicles was stolen, they were all left unlocked.

Police said some had keys in them.

If you have any information about these auto thefts, you are encouraged to contact Detective William Hetrick at 609-698-5000 ext 218 or Patroller Robert Armstrong at 609-698-5000 ext 225.

Barnegat Police, just like other departments, remind you to lock and take the keys.

“An unlocked vehicle is an easy target for theft of items from your vehicle or theft of the vehicle itself, please do not leave your keys in your vehicle and be sure to lock your vehicle whether it is parked in the vehicle. street or in your driveway. Keep anything of value out of sight if it is stored in your vehicle, “Barnegat police said in a statement.
