JAMMU, DECEMBER 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD) and LG’s Grievance Redress Unit held an orientation and training program today day for nodal officers at district level in Jammu.
The event took place under the supervision and direction of IMPARD Managing Director Saurabh Bhagat and Secretary-Commissioner Rehana Batool.
J&K Training Director, IMPARD, Jammu, Dr Reva Sharma highlighted the link between good governance and grievance resolution.
Mushtaq Ahmad, additional project manager at the Lieutenant Governor’s Grievance Unit of Jammu and Kashmir (JKLGGC), stressed the need for quality handling of public grievances in light of recent directives from the Lieutenant Governor. He discussed the reports of committees formed to study the disposition of grievances by DCs and administrative departments on JKIGRAMS.
Jammu and Kashmir Undersecretary of the Lieutenant Governor’s Grievance Cell, Azeeta Qureshi, gave a presentation on the operation and activities of the cell. Muneef Buchh explained the workflow on the JKIGRAMS web portal in addition to elaborating on handling grievances and using different options on the web interfaces to nodal officers in the district.
During the event, all the important dimensions of the work related to the redress of grievances were covered in different sessions with the full participation of the interns.
He was informed that this program will take place in all the districts of the UT and that a training will be organized for the nodal officers at the HoD level and finally the nodal officers at the level of the administrative departments.
