The Guthrie County Extension Office will begin offering training for a person’s best friend.
Dog obedience classes will begin June 7 and continue every Tuesday for 10 weeks at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds beginning at 7 p.m. These classes will be open to the public for all ages, but FFA and 4H youth must take these classes if they plan to show their dog at the Guthrie County Fair. Dogs will learn commands such as heal, sit, stand for examination and more. Each dog must be at least five months old and have their rabies and distemper vaccination certificate. Pat Wyatt will teach each class. The cost per dog for youth will be $15 and for adults the amount will be $30 per dog. For more information, including registration, visit here.
