The ITV show is hosted by presenters Dermot O’Leary and Joanna Page as they celebrate the UK’s animal obsession and share incredible stories.

Mark told the presenters a bit more about his pet, saying that when he and his wife saw Baloo, they instantly “fell in love” with him.

Taking on the famous dog’s challenge, Mark had to try and beat the one-minute, 22-second fastest time that was set by Cooper and his owner, celebrity chef James Martin.

Before tackling the course, Mark said he believed they would manage to pass just under 1.30.

But after being distracted a few times by Mark’s chicken treats, he finished with a time of 2.46, placing him above bottom spot in the standings.

Mark said he was “so proud” of Baloo and if there were any style points he would get the maximum points.

Mark was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2017, when he changed his lifestyle.

Captioning an Instagram photo, Mark said, “Since then I have prioritized my overall health and fitness and have been on a real weight loss journey losing almost 10 stones since my time. diagnostic.”
