Chamber CEO Graduated from National Leadership Training Program

The Institute for Organization Management, the professional development program of the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation, is pleased to announce that Susan Kimball, IOM, President and CEO of the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce, is a graduate of the program and has received recognition from IOM. Awarded to all graduates of the Institute’s program, IOM Graduate Recognition signifies the individual’s completion of 96 credit hours of coursework in nonprofit management. Additionally, participants can earn credit hours for Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) or Certified Association Executive (CAE) certifications. Nearly 1,000 people attend the Institute each year.

Chamber Foundation. “These individuals have the knowledge, skills and dedication to succeed professionally and organizationally in the dynamic association and chamber industries.”

Since its inception in 1921, the Institute’s program has trained tens of thousands of leaders of associations, chambers, and other nonprofit organizations on how to build stronger organizations, better serve their members and become strong business advocates. The Institute’s program consists of four one-week sessions at four different universities across the country. Through a combination of required and elective courses in areas such as leadership, advocacy, marketing, finance and membership, Institute participants are able to enhance their own organizational management skills and add new fuel to their organizations, making them more efficient.
