He said that in 2012 Akali Dal Badal promised to continue medical services by registering doctors at government level, which has not been fulfilled to date. Likewise in the 2017 elections, the head of Congress, Manpreet Singh Badal, after a meeting with medical practitioners, had promised to launch a special training program for them. Not only did he promise, but the Congress party had declared in its 2017 election manifesto at point no. 16, that doctors would be trained and legally authorized to provide medical services. Cheema alleged that promises made by the Congress Party and Akali Dal Badal to doctors were not kept like promises made to other sections of the state, due to which they were forced to surrender. to illegal services. He said doctors have been instrumental in treating poor families in the state as Congress, Captain, Badal and the BJP have ruined the state’s government medical system. These leaders promoted private hospitals and deprived the common man of the right to cheap, quality treatment. In such situations, around 120,000 doctors provide basic treatment to the general public.
